A casual weekend trip to Malnad that taught me several things

Book Verified Stays
I was a little skeptical when my group chose Malnad as our next weekend exploration hotspot. Yes, this was during the monsoon in Malnad when it was at its peak! I said NO initially, assuming that it would not be that comfortable to travel in Malnad during the monsoon season. At that time, I came across Travel Malnad Stays for our booking support. The team is based out of Malnad, having offices in Thirthahalli and Chikmagalur. We are happy to have bumped into these guys rather than a Bangalore-based travel agent who sits here and just needs room bookings. These guys went way beyond our planner's expectations, and the result was that all of us had a great time in Malnad. To put it in your perspective, I am also writing this article like a psychoanalysis of several things. One of the important observations I made about Malnad is its people. They are naturally the warmest people I have met in my life. They are straightforward and friendly people, not just as hosts but as human beings. They are not money-minded or looking for only profits when it comes to hospitality. This feeling is common among all of our group members from the start of our communication with the Travel Malnad team to staying at a homestay or even while hiring local cabs. We were treated really well with warmth and kindness at all times. My recent trip to Malnad was like an eye-opener for me and my group. We learnt a lot of new lessons about how to look at people and life in general. The way we are treated is not just exceptional but the norm in Malnad hospitality. The people there have it in their DNA. We learnt to be more humble and down to earth while dealing with strangers (we are strangers to them), but we never felt it, even for a minute. We all felt like we had met them a long time back and had been part of their family. How a way of life can be so natural amidst nature itself, which can show us glimpses of true hospitality. We have been to many places in our quest to explore places and people. Malnad stays in our hearts in a special place for it. All team members were on the same page when it came to the hospitality we experienced at Malnad. I thought of penning this with the hope that it will help others who are looking for true hospitality while visiting a destination for a holiday.
