2 Nights / 3 Days Holiday Itinerary for Jade Vista Resort, Near Devaramane, Chikmagalur - For reference only and not included in tariff

Day 1: Arrival & Spiritual Serenity

Focus: Check-in and exploring the immediate neighborhood.

• 12:00 PM – Check-in: Arrive at Jade Vista Resort. Enjoy a traditional Malnad welcome drink. Settle into your cottage and take in the view of the surrounding coffee estates.

• 1:30 PM – Lunch: Have a hearty Malnad lunch at the resort featuring local specialties like Akki Rotti or Kadubu.

• 3:30 PM – Deviramma Temple: Visit this ancient temple located just 3 km from the resort. It sits at the base of a hill and is deeply revered by locals.

• 5:00 PM – Hirekolale Lake: A short 15 km drive from your resort. This is one of the most peaceful spots in Chikmagalur, especially at sunset. The reflection of the Mullayanagiri range in the water is a photographer’s delight.

• 7:30 PM – Bonfire & Dinner: Return to the resort for an evening bonfire (subject to weather) followed by dinner.

Day 2: The Peaks and Waterfalls

Focus: Karnataka’s highest peak and "Buttermilk" falls.

• 7:30 AM – Mullayanagiri Peak: Start early to beat the mist and crowds. It’s about 23 km from the resort. You can drive up most of the way and then climb about 500 steps to reach the summit (the highest point in Karnataka).

• 10:00 AM – Seethalayyanagiri: On the way down, stop at this temple/viewpoint (21 km from resort) which offers equally stunning but different vistas.

• 11:30 AM – Jhari Falls (Buttermilk Falls): Head to Jhari Falls (24 km from resort). You will need to take a local 4x4 Jeep from the parking area to reach the falls. It’s a spectacular tiered waterfall deep within coffee plantations.

• 1:30 PM – Lunch: Grab a quick lunch in Chikmagalur town or head back toward the resort.

• 4:00 PM – Resort Activities: Enjoy the Infinity Pool at Jade Vista or play a round of Table Tennis/Pool. The resort also offers rope activities and outdoor games.

• Evening: Relax on your private balcony with a cup of freshly brewed estate coffee.

Day 3: The Devaramane "Magic" & Departure

Focus: Offbeat trekking and scenic valley views.

• 8:00 AM – Devaramane Betta & Viewpoint: After breakfast, head toward Devaramane. This area is famous for its "rolling hills" that resemble the meadows of Scotland. It is a moderate 15-20 minute trek from the Kala Bhairaveshwara Temple to the viewpoint.

• 10:00 AM – Ettina Bhuja (Optional): If you are an avid trekker, the Ettina Bhuja ("Ox Shoulder") trek is nearby and offers one of the most unique geological views in the Western Ghats.

• 11:00 AM – Check-out: Return to the resort to pack and complete check-out formalities.

• 12:30 PM – Departure via Belur: On your drive back toward Bangalore/Hassan, stop at Belur (Chennakeshava Temple). It is a 12th-century Hoysala marvel and a must-visit for its intricate stone carvings.

• 2:30 PM – Lunch in Belur/Hassan: Stop for a final Malnad meal before heading home.
